Event date: October 16, 2022
It started when we realized we had to perform at #OCTOPOP2022.
We talked about wanting to make all new music to suit the festival atmosphere of the event and can also be applied to other shows as well. So I proposed we put together a band, especially since Bright already started to have more singing jobs.
The qualifications of band members I wanted were: approximately of the same age as Bright, so there was a friendly atmosphere at work, and most importantly, the skills had to be good, so I reached out to Aim @aimzillow, who was already working with us at GMMTV.
I told Aim the details of the project and told him what I wanted, and he replied, "there are people who fit your criteria but their schedules are very tight. The musicians’ schedules also have to match up with Bright’s. How can you schedule rehearsals? If you want to put top musicians together like this, it's almost impossible." I replied, "let's see."
So I chased down the musicians one by one. It turned out everyone was available to perform on the day of the event because the bands they played for regularly were also performing. But the problem was that their availability barely matched with that of Bright. So Bright offered, "Take my days off for rehearsals. I'm okay as long as my days off are spent doing what I love."
The will was there, and so were rehearsal queues. Thus GMMTV Super Band was born. 'Save', drummer from The Toys / 'Pleum', bassist from UrboyTJ / 'Ming', guitarist from D Gerrard, and keyboardist 'Aim' Aimzillow joined the team. Thanks to all the artists who supported us and made this band happen.

As for songs, of course, all artists have to play their own songs. But I felt for this show, there should be a surprise for the audience, so I gave Bright a challenge: come up with a song that the audience wouldn't have expected Bright to sing.
Finally, Bright chose the song "Love Won't Change" ("Ruk Mai Yaum Plien Plang" by Tik Shiro), and the team reworked the music to be more “pop” and more modern. I hope it was another version that everyone would enjoy. Here's a clip of the rehearsal, but I had to mute the audio because of copyright.
But there was another challenge for our team: Bright had to go to #ShootingStarAsiaTour in Indonesia on the 15th and have to come back to Rajamangala on the 16th.
This schedule was very brutal, even for professional musicians. Very exhausting.
Previously, whenever Bright had to do any concert, he would spend the day before the show doing rehearsals, but this time there was no time, and he had to go abroad. So we turned the hotel room into a rehearsal room, having had the Super Band record empty tracks in a Thai studio and sent the files to us. Bright and I did run throughs of the show while in Indonesia.
With the rehearsals taken care of, we were still worried about the travel
The fastest flight that arrived in Thailand was at 1pm++ We had to take a ride from the hotel to the airport, clear immigration / customs, and rush to Rajamangala. All these steps made us feel tense.
But in the end, we arrived at the event in time. We’d like to thank the organizers on both sides for their great support of our team. This is truly an international cooperation.
GMMTV mainly produce shows and series. So our in-house ARs (artist relations managers) didn’t have an experience with music festivals like this.
Most of them do events, whose nature of work is completely different from a festival. Boyd @Boydtuan_, who had previously been an AR for bands, helped find someone to do the job and taught them the ropes.
We got "Coco" as our AR, and this job was very new to him, but he was open to learning and learned quickly. This made the coordination of everything that day go smoothly.
As the first AR work with no prior experience, it was very amazing. Let's all shower Coco and Boydtuan with resounding accolades.
Due to some technical limitations, Bright couldn’t not walk to the other end of the catwalk throughout the show. But thanks to the determination of an artist named "Bright," he must go!
So I said you could go, but it had to be at the end of the performance. After singing, he had to run there with nothing (no equipment). He only had 37 seconds to do the 120-meter round-trip run. Bright said, he could do it. And he did it! Have to give it to him.

This was our first show. We faced a lot of problems and obstacles.
Apologies if there were any hiccups. We will strive to do better next time. Please send us comments and suggestions. As long as the audience is happy, that’s more than enough for us.
(The end.)
[Tun @peerawicht_t replied to a fan about the technical problem on stage.]
The wireless signal went down at the beginning of the show, which was a normal thing that could happen with a large-scale event, but the Sound Engineer and the technician team could solve the problem very quickly. Everything came back to the full system just right before 'Unmovable' started.
Bright: And the (In-ear monitor) cable was disconnected. (The sound was) Gone for another 2 songs 555555. (What a) Life.
In this video clip we could see the in-ear monitor cable hanging.
(Note that it was disconnected even before Sad Movie.)

Bright's appearance
Tun: Due to a video clip leaked out on the sound check night, it made fans be able to guess that P'Golf would be a guest in 'Sad Movie' performance, which was a surprise that we had prepared. Therefore, we offered a complimentary surprise by having Bright appear close to the audience at a close range. We hoped everyone was happy with this scene.

Thank everyone for coming to cheer on (Bright) today na-kabbb. 🤍
Amp: As for yesterday's event, I'd like to say that I'm very proud of you @bbrightvc. Bright has always worked hard on music projects, whether it is song making, rehearsal, or sound check, and yesterday you did very great. After the show Bright still asked everyone what else he could do for further improvement. Yesterday I saw a very determined look in his eyes. It was very obvious. Bright will become better and better for sure.
- An impressive picture when asking advices from P'Golf.
Bright: Thank you krub, boss ✌🏽
bbrightvc: I would like to thank everyone in the team very much for being so tired (working so hard) together till we could make today's show go well. Thanks to @octopopfest for giving a chance to a new artist like me to join. Thanks to @ftodah for giving me an honor to sing together. It was so damn fun, bro. Thanks to every friend and audience for coming to cheer on me. I would like to tell you that we were very, very happy and hope you guys were too. See you in the next event. ✌🏽
