GMMTV's First Announcement of
F4 Thailand Project

October 15, 2019 - GMMTV 2020 New & Next Press Conference

GMMTV revealed its new project of F4 Thailand remake. Bright’s name had already been mentioned among the speculated names for the F4 gang. The news reported that the series was expected to be on air in 2021.

Interview with "Bright-Win"

August 23, 2020 - Thairath newspaper

Question: If playing with Win again in other series, what kind of plot would you like to play?

​

Bright: I would like to play as a best friend in a gang. I would like to see my bro being like a Casanova who flirts with women because he has never starred (paired) with girls yet, only with me. I would like him to try acting playful with women (laughs).”

​

Win: I would like to play as a gangster too. I would like to see my bro play a brutal character, from a rich family, a spoiled one who has fights with people around, does not care about the world, and shows a dark side (laughs), and I go along with him.”

O - Patha Thongpan (F4Thailand director):

"All versions of the original series are based on Hana Yori Dango manga. Therefore, our starting point is mainly based on the manga first. But since the manga have been written for over 20 years, the context in the story would be as in that era. We wanted to make this version more different and more relevant to today's era. So this version will be the version that talks about various social issues more intensely, such as school bullies. We wanted to tell this story and wanted to throw more serious questions than the previous version that if the protagonist originates bullies, what will he eventually grow up and learn before becoming an adult? At the same time, your feelings over the moon and how you want to scream for the F4 boys will be there to the fullest too."

"As for the selection of actors and actress, it was the first difficulty of this project. "Bright" was the first one that we got. The character of "Thyme" in the story is a very, very cool guy and is comprehensively the center of this group, but what's equally important is the innocent and sincere side of the character, which must be very obvious as well. Simply speaking, he must be a character that the viewers are ready to hate and gradually love him more and more in every episode, and Bright could portray this very, very well. We will definitely see some sides that we’ve never seen from Bright."

"This boy is really charming."

I'd want to see him as Thyme.

That's the first thing about Bright that came to mind.

After reaching the goal faster than expected, his next role which is like another testament to his actor magnetism is the role of Thyme in F4 Thailand, the series that everyone has been waiting to see since the cast debut.

"Actually I saw this role even before 2gether The Series was on air and got cast as Thyme even before the script started being written. At that time I didn't make a decision because of the script, but rather because I like it. I had seen F4 since I was a kid. Back then my family got into the F4 fever  too. At that moment, I didn't have to first read the script at all. If I got the role, I would definitely take it. I was happy."

"..I think there are many things that I can relate to the character of Thyme. His characteristics aren't that totally different from mine, but there are points that are very distantly different as well, such as the background and some personalities that need to be adjusted a lot for being F4."

More than the factor like the role must be a bomb or be able to promote and grow his fanbase, the important thing that this actor has expectations for is:


"I have expectations for the script that makes me feel fun to work with, eager to wake up to go to the set everyday, and have fun being that character more (than those kinds of things.)"
